David has been involved in the home building industry for over 35 years! Home building has been one of his greatest passions and a life-long commitment. He is a licensed Civil Engineer, General Contractor, and Realtor in Southern California. His extensive experience in the industry makes him the ideal professional to bring your Accessory Dwelling Unit vision to life.
02. Family & Faith
David’s Christian faith guides him in his business activities and he wants everything that is done in and through the business to honor God. David was born and raised in Minnesota and after living in several states across the nation, San Diego became his permanent home in 1986. He has two adult daughters, one currently in college and the other graduated, working, married, newborn baby, and living in an Accessory Dwelling Unit built by David. David enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, watching and playing organized sports, is an avid snow skier, and enjoys playing with the new grandbaby.
03. Need for Increased Housing Options
Throughout David’s steady career, he began as a civil engineering consultant, then expanded his profession through several management positions at various large development companies, both public and private. Honoring his entrepreneurship calling, David created his own development company and created several new home projects in and around San Diego County. Seeing the great need for increased housing options, David narrowed his specialization to designing and building Accessory Dwelling Units while drawing on all of his talents and experience from his robust career in development.
